She said, "Ask them what they have been doing for 18 years." She went on to say that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh sends thousands of crores to Uttar Pradesh for development. She did not know whose pockets it went into. She did not mention any names however.
"They are dividing you on caste and communal basis for their own benefit. There is no law and order here. No one is safe."
Sonia insisted that this was not the case when the Congress was in power in UP. She wanted the people to question why the current government was talking about caste and why they were hobnobbing with criminals. She declared that the state is not safe with them.
"You have given all of them a chance -- the BJP, the BSP and the SP. Now change that. Do not trust alliances that come together just to form a government."
"They have stopped the progress of the state. The ideals of the Congress are well-known. We worry about all sections of society including the Dalits and the poor," she emphasised.
