The Doors
What would rock music be like if Jim Morrison still lived? It is a question people have asked themselves many times since 1971, the year 27-year old Morrison was found dead in a bathtub in Paris.
Together with Ray Manzarek, John Densmore and Robby Krieger, Morrison led The Doors, a band that was unpredictable on stage and fabulous in the studio.
Yes, Morrison's persona may have had a lot to do with their initial success, but the longevity of their music proves there was something genuinely moving about their work.
Rumours of Morrison faking his death persist to this day. Maybe it's just hard to accept the passing of an icon.
