Indians across the world have been quick to come to the motherland's aid, be it in terms of providing monetary relief or by mobilizing materials, like at this temple in Paris.
The United Nations Development Fund and United Nations Childrens Fund have also started mobilising relief for victims. In Tamil Nadu, one of the worst-hit states in India, Unicef is providing water purification tablets, oral rehydration salts, and medical supplies, while the UNDP is providing assistance, including cash grants, to Sri Lanka, Indonesia, the Maldives and Thailand.
