Sneha was Tamil cinema's most successful face of 2004, having starred in five big, successful and well-appreciated films.

She talks to Shobha Warrier about her recent films, and her first film this year, Aayudham.

Vasool Raja MBBS

The year 2004 had been wonderful for me. I worked with Kamalji [Haasan]! It was a memorable movie. I had been a big fan of Kamalji for a long time, and when I was asked to star opposite him in Vasool Raja, it was a dream come true.

I still remember watching Nayakan. Moondram Pirai is one of my favourites. But it is tough to choose. Kamalji is excellent in all his films.

I never imagined one day I would be acting with him. I would clap when he would appear on screen! I just couldn't believe my luck when I stood next to him.

When I was with him in a frame, and when I was dancing with him, I thought, "Where was I five years ago, and where am I now!"

I was excited, nervous, and very scared when we started shooting for Vasool Raja. Even if it was a small dialogue with him, I would be very scared. Dancing with him was also scary. Fortunately, the steps were easy.

He was very encouraging. Even when I made mistakes, he would say, "There's nothing wrong in making mistakes. All of us make mistakes."

He doesn't behave like a big actor. He makes you feel very comfortable.

Unlike many other heroine roles these days, my Vasool Raja role was not just to appear in two songs and then disappear.

I expected the film to be a success, but not such a big one!
