World Sports Awards 28-year-old double Olympic and World Champion, the "Herminator". Austrian Hermann Maier, winner of the Men's Award for Wintersports. The nomination shortlist was determined by 71 athletes from 30 countries who each put forward five nominees in each of the categories. They voted for the top five for each award.
