Four days after the twin blasts in Varanasi, District Police Chief Navneet Sikera was transferred and replaced by G K Goswami, Senior Superintendent of Police, Moradabad, official sources said on Saturday.

Sikera has been attached with the Director General of Police office in the state capital, the sources said.

It may be recalled that Sikera was attending a wedding in Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav's ancestral village Safai, when the explosions took place at the Sankatmochan temple and the Cantonment railway station in Varanasi on March 7.
