Kaushik Sagar comes to the venue in his garba garb riding a motorbike. Passersby and motorists at traffic lights give him strange glances sometimes , but he has a 'who cares attitude.'

"Come on, here's our traditional Indian biker," says Sagar, a friend from Rajkot slapping his back.

Kaushik has been coming for dandiya every year for the past eight years. "I mainly come to dance to traditional Gujarati music and for Mataji," says the young jeweller.

Navratri celebrates the victory of Goddess Ambanath over the evil Asuras.

In the small makeshift temple at the left of the stage, a puja is conducted before the show each evening. Falguni does the aarti, chants the mantras, sings bhajans and is joined by many from the audience who want to worship there.
