No, we don't consider 27-year old Paris Whitney Hilton a pop star either. Then again, despite her debut album being the flop it was expected to be, she has managed to rewrite the rules of celebrity behaviour worldwide -- and not in a good way.

Paris first hit headlines for her supposed engagement to model Jason Shaw. Then came an engagement to shipping magnate Paris Latsis. Then came another shipping magnate, Stavros Niarchos III.

While this was going on, she released a memoir of the life of her female Chihuahua Tinkerbell. As if that was just a preamble, a homemade sex video filmed with her permission surfaced online.

In 2006, Paris was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, and her license was suspended.

In 2007, she was caught driving with a suspended license twice. Another video surfaced online, in which she as caught used homophobic slurs.

There's more. She was jailed, then released without serving her entire sentence. Earlier this year, she recently posed nude, covered in gold paint, to promote a sparkling wine.

Paris topped a poll as the second 'Worst Celebrity Role Model of 2006'. The celebrity who beat her to the spot was, well, Britney Spears.
