Though Madhuri Dixit had already scored a superhit with N Chandra's Tezaab, Ram Lakhan, another super hit, secured her position in the industry. The trio -- Anil Kapoor, Madhuri and Jackie Shroff -- exuded such great chemistry that they went on to star in another film, Parinda. This Vidhu Vinod Chopra film also did well at the box office.
