Scenario IV: My boss is making passes at me. How do I politely evade the issue or convey that I want to maintain a professional relationship?
Solution: The relationship between boss and subordinate MUST always be professional.
It is only after a period of time, when a comfort level is reached, that the professionalism also includes a personal approach.
Then again, personal relationships do not include making passes.
When it comes to this, I think there is no room for a personal relationship, unless you accept it.
If you do not want this, address it. Speak to the boss and be prepared for any reaction. You might lose your job. It is your conviction and priority that will help you decide the outcome of your situation.
If this doesn't work, another alternative would be to approach the HR department with your problem. If they turn a deaf ear, are you sure you want to bother working here?
