Dashing opener Virender Sehwag finally cleared some of the cobwebs off his bat and returned to some sort of form, scoring a canny 39 off 53 balls.

Together with Sachin Tendulkar, he put on 103 runs for the first wicket before he was bowled by an Ian Harvey delivery that kept low and crashed into his stumps.
