  1 billion people and nothing to show for it!
  India have never made it beyond the first round in
  the qualifiers. In the only instance, India got
  a World Cup berth, the Indian team were
  disqualified. Check out the performance.


World Cup Facts

  • The fastest goal was scored in the 16th second by Czechoslovakia's Vaclav Masek
        against Mexico in 1962.

  • The latest goal was scored after 119 minutes by David Platt of England against Belgium in 1990.

  • The only player to have scored for two countries is Robert Prosinecki. He represented Yugoslavia
        in 1990 scoring against the UAE, and Croatia in 1998 scoring against Jamaica.
