World No. 2 Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore missed a place in the final and finished seventh in the men's double trap, in the ISSF Shotgun World Cup in Rome on Wednesday.
It was a disappointing outing for Rathore. With a score of 135/150, the Athens Olympics silver medallist failed to finish among the top-six, who moved into the final, to be held later in the day.
Rathore was tied for sixth place with two others but lost out in the tie-shoot.
He will next compete in the World Shotgun Championship in Lonato, Italy, from May 24 to 31.
