A massacre at Virginia Tech

In the deadliest campus massacre in US history, 33 people have been killed on Monday by an as yet unidentified gunman at the Virginia Tech University in Southwest Virginia -- which is about 200 miles from Washington, DC.
Professor G V Loganathan is reported to be among the 33 people killed in Monday's Virginia Tech shootout. He was shot while he was taking classes at the university's civil and environmental engineering department.
The award-winning professor taught civil and environmental engineering at Virginia Tech, a university in Virginia, USA, where he had been working for 15 years. He was educated at Madras University and the Indian Institute of Technology-Kanpur.
