Delhi sealing: Centre steps in

The Union Cabinet has appointed a committee headed by Home Minister Shivraj Patil to go into the sealing process of shops in Delhi by municipal authorities.

The Cabinet met on Thursday morning in view of Wednesday's violence in Seelampur area of the city where three persons were killed and over 100 injured in clashes between protestors and the police.

The members of the committee are Urban Development Minister Jaipal Reddy, Science and Technology minister Kapil Sibal, Commerce Minister Kamal Nath, Delhi Lieutenant-Governor B L Joshi and Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit.
