Scientist, author and now the `Peoples' President.

A P J Abdul Kalam's [ Images ] presidency has been like no other in India's [ Images ] history.

The President has crisscrossed the globe -- spreading the message of India's growing political and economic clout. He has also travelled the length and breath of the country meeting personnel from the armed forces, young professionals and mostly children. Be it the icy heights of Siachen or troubled Jammu and Kashmir [ Images ] or even the cockpit of the state-of-the-art Sukhoi fighter plane, the President has strived to inculcate the message of a young and resurgent India.

He turns 75 on October 15. We invite you to send him your best wishes. Rediff.com will have them personally handed over to the President.
