Pointing out that law was equal for all, Chief Election Commissioner B B Tandon on Thursday said he had not received any presidential reference regarding Congress President Sonia Gandhi's alleged holding of any office of profit.
Interacting with media persons at a press conference, Tandon said, "So far, the Commission has not received any presidential reference on Sonia Gandhi holding an office of profit but the law is equal for all."
"If there is any complaint against a person holding an office of profit, the President issues a notification that is then referred to the Election Commission for verification," the CEC said.
