A Delhi court on Thursday sent Rahul Mahajan, arrested on charges of drug abuses, to judicial custody till June 22.
Metropolitan Magistrate A K Chaturvedi's order came after the Delhi police produced him in the court after interrogating him for two days.
Rahul almost collapsed in the courtroom and the judge directed the police to get a medical check up done for him.
A bail application filed by Rahul's lawyers will come up for hearing on Friday.
Rahul was late rlodged at the Tihar jail, where no special arrangements were made for him.
"He will be treated like any other prisoner here. The food items will be same what others are getting. His health condition will be checked everyday by our jail doctors and if he needs any medication, that will be given," sources in the jail told PTI.
The police arrested Rahul on Monday after registering a case against him under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. He was charged with procuring and consuming drugs and also allowing his premises to be used for consumption of narcotics.
Rahul was on life support after a late-night drinking binge on June 1.
