A mild earthquake with its epicentre in Koyna in Satara district shook Maharashtra on Tuesday.
The quake, measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale, was experienced at 0737 IST, according to the India Meteorological Department.
No damage to life or property has been reported.
A moderate quake, measuring 5.1, which also had its epicentre near the earthquake-prone Koyna dam area, jolted several parts of Maharashtra and neighbouring Goa and Karnataka on Monday.
