Nepal has immense potential for tourism but is hindered by a violent Maoist insurgency, which has struck deep roots in the western parts. It bleeds the economy, deprives the youth of sufficient avenues for employment and keeps tourists away causing Nepal to languish among the poorer countries of the world.
Perhaps, some of the benefits of improved ties between India and Pakistan would rub off on this landlocked nation too.
