The recent 66th Bengal Journalists’ Association Award ceremony felicitated a few Bollywood actors, including Ajay Devgan, Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukerji.

The three actors have had a great 2003. Devgan had the maximum number of releases this year and scored hits in Bhoot, Qayamat, Zameen and Gangaajal.

Amitabh relaunched his production company, Amitabh Bachchan Corporation with the launch of his new film, Ranveer, starring Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and himself. It will be directed by Rajkumar Santoshi.

After the hit Saathiya, Rani starred in a slightly similar film Chalte Chalte, co-starring Shah Rukh Khan. The film was a runaway success.

The award ceremony also saw Bengali film personalities like Aparna Sen, Mrinal Sen and Sandeep Roy, son of late filmmaker Satyajit Ray.
