Have you ever faked your CV?

The fake CV controversy has reared its ugly head again.

Last year, companies like Wipro, Infosys, TCS and HSBC terminated employees because they had faked their resumes during the recruitment process.

This year has already seen IT major Satyam Computers terminate the services of 500 employees who joined the company using fake CVs.

Though IT companies have employed verification companies to scan such irregularities, potential CV fakers don't seem to be deterred.

The National Association of Software and Service Companies has come out with a National Skills Registry to counter this problem. NSR contains personal, academic and employment details of individuals employed/ to be employed in the IT and ITeS industry; this background information would have been checked by a professional agency.
