Bharatiya Janata Party president Lal Kishenchand Advani on Thursday described Jharkhand Governor Syed Sibtey Razi as a 'contract killer acting at the behest' of the United Progressive Alliance government.
The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance has been protesting against Razi's decision to invite the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha-Congress combine to form a government in Jharkhand.
"I quote a daily in New Delhi, which has said that the Jharkhand governor has murdered democracy. I do not think this view is totally correct. He (the governor) is a supari (contract) killer, acting at the behest of the UPA government," he told reporters in New Delhi.
