March 03, 2005 13:44 IST

President A P J Abdul Kalam [ Images ] on Thursday summoned Jharkhand Governor Syed Sibtey Razi to New Delhi [ Images ] for "discussions" in the wake of his controversial decision to install a Jharkhand Mukti Morcha-led government in the state.

Razi will arrive in Delhi on Friday, official sources said.

Razi's decision to invite JMM chief Shibu Soren [ Images ] to form the government when the rival National Democratic Alliance appeared to have numbers in its favour has led to protests all over the state and in Parliament.

The NDA had paraded 41 MLAs before the governor. However, the governor disregarded the NDA's claim and invited Soren to form the government.

The NDA is now flying its MLAs to Delhi to parade them before the President.
