The two-member Election Commission team probing the rigging in Bihar's Chhapra seat during the April 26 election has received serious allegations of violence, booth capturing and collusion of district administration officials and poll personnel with those who vitiated the atmosphere in the constituency.

EC special advisor K J Rao, a member of the team, said in Chhapra that he had come across the allegations in the last two days while interacting with representatives of political parties, poll personnel and voters.

"We are satisfied with our inquiry as it went on the right lines. But we cannot disclose the content of our report, which we will submit to the EC tomorrow," Rao said.

Principal secretary to the commission Ananth Kumar, the other member of the team, was with him.

Asked if the EC would countermand the election in Chhapra, they said the commission had always been tough in matters relating to polls.

A meeting of the full EC is likely to take a decision on the issue on Tuesday.

Rashtriya Janata Dal president Laloo Prasad Yadav is contesting against Union Civil Aviation Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy in Chhapra.

Rudy and his party, the Bharatiya Janata Party have demanded re-poll in the constituency alleging RJD-sponsored violence.
