Sachin Tendulkar [ Images ] consulted British doctor Andrew Wallace, who operated upon his elbow in London [ Images ] in May this year, in Delhi [ Images ] and left for his home in Mumbai [ Images ] last night.
The batting maestro was on just a few hours' visit to the capital to get a routine examination done by the orthopedic surgeon, who is on a short visit to the country, Board of Control for Cricket in India [ Images ] sources said on Sunday.
The Mumbai player was sidelined for close to six months after undergoing the surgery to treat a tennis elbow injury and has been prescribed a rehabilitation programme to strengthen the muscles in his left arm.
He returned to international cricket in style with a 93-run knock in the opening one-dayer against Sri Lanka [ Images ] in Nagpur. He last played in the series against Pakistan at home in April this year.
