Tendulkar, who had come here immediately after playing in the seventh and final one-dayer in Vadodara on Saturday, also had his elbow examined by team physio John Gloster while batting during the match.

The Mumbai player was sidelined for close to six months after undergoing the surgery to treat a tennis elbow injury and has been prescribed a rehabilitation programme to strengthen the muscles in his left arm.

He returned to international cricket in style with a 93-run knock in the opening one-dayer against Sri Lanka in Nagpur. He last played in the series against Pakistan at home in April this year.
