Sachin Tendulkar is suffering from a slight shoulder injury but is likely to play in India's fourth one-day international against the West Indies on Saturday.

The 29-year-old, who has the world record for one-day runs and centuries, had scored an unbeaten 34 on Wednesday when India beat West Indies by seven wickets in Barbados to take a 1-0 lead in the series.

"Sachin has a slight twitch in his shoulder and upper forearm," Indian coach John Wright said on Friday. "We are hoping he will be fit for the match tomorrow."

Team physiotherapist Andrew Leipus declined to comment on the nature of the injury but said he was working hard to make sure Tendulkar recovered on time.

In case Tendulkar is declared unfit, the Indians might call on Vangipurappu Laxman, who had scored 474 in the recent five-Test series but was left out in the Barbados one-dayer for 21-year-old Mohammad Kaif.

The first two matches of the five-game series were washed out without a ball being bowled.
