Who will win the NatWest Tri-Series?

Name:Naman Kapur
Comment:I think that England will win this series...from my view

Name:DR Suresh Kumar
Comment:Because it is in the form having so many all rounders and the record of India and Sri Lanka is poor on foriegn soil and they r without their main weapons like murli.

Name:Eshwar
Comment:India is going to win and Sehwag will be the man of the series and Ganguly will be the man of the match for most of the matches.

Name:Nagaraju
Comment:India will win the tri sries because indians are imporiving alot There are lot of youmg stars in our teAM

Comment:England will win the NatWest Tri-Series

Name:Manju surolia
Comment:India will win the series

Name:Aashish
Comment:INDIA WILL WIN IT

Name:Rose
Comment:Sri Lanka will be the outright winner in the series. They got some outstanding matchwinner in the side expecially the master blaster jayasurya and classical jayawardne and attapattu and fighter Russel Arnold. At the other hand England will be the losing side at the final and India will loose all the matches becauase they don't have team spirit and depending only on little master.

Thank you, Rose

Name:S. Srinivasan
Comment:England is likely to win the tri series. There is nothing much to choose between three participating teams. However England has an edge with home advantage and their captain is a master strategist. Before Nasser saurav stands nowhere.

Name:Salil Pradhan
Comment:I will be surprised if this super strong Australian team will make it to the world cup final in 2003. Look for India/ Pakistan to stump the hosts SA in the finals. England could be the dark horse.

Name:Amar Bharadwaj
Comment:England will win this series & they will beat Sri Lanka in the Finals.

Name:Swaminathan
Comment:east or west India is the best ;)

Name:Milongjamir
Comment:Because India has got lots of good quality batting as well as bowling.even though all the bowlers are new they have the ability to take wickets like ajit agargar he is gfood in batting as well as bowling so its a great moral booster for indian team. and bats man like tendulkar, sourav, sewhg, dravid, mongia, and lots. so its a great chance for the India team to win yhe match.

Name:D.K. Jali
Comment:India will win the match

Name:T.BALAJI
Comment:INDIA WILL WIN

Name:Soori
Comment:Clearly India stands favorite for the Natwest cup simply because of its batting strength.Though the bowling is little week it can make up for it with their batting powers like Sachin, Ganguly, shewag, yuvraj. Also India found a better fileding in yuvraj, kaif and mongia.Inspite of depleted attack India has utility bowlers in Sachin, Ganguly, shewag, yuvraj and mongia. This is the most well balanced One day side for India in the recent past. We are behind you guys. You are the favorites. Dont choke under pressure. Believ in urselves. Its a miNd game. I can see India getting back the world cup next march. " YOU ARE THE MEN"

Name:Umesh
Comment:India will win the Natwest Series,B'cause India's one day team is well balanced with young as well as experienced players.

Name:Irfan
Comment:India win this match

Name:Moniel Patel
Comment:I think Egland will win the NatWest series coz England is really scoring high in 2days match as well as winning the 1st one.

Name:Santosh
Comment:Its the best opportunity for India to emerge as the winners

Name:Vijaykumar Dave
Comment:All the three teams look equally balanced. However, the Sri Lankens have stuff in all the three areas i. e. Balling, Batting and off course fielding. In my opinion, Sri Lanka would win the NatWest Tri-Series.

Name:Dipti Dave
Comment:I wish India to win this NatWest Tri-Series. Indians although are weak in Balling and Fielding, they have excellent stars who could turn the results. So, India will win the NatWest Tri-Series.

Name:Vijay Mangaldas Dave
Comment:Out of all the three teams, Sri Lanka and Engalnd look compact. Although, India is a strong team, it is not consistant. So, I say that England will win the Tri Series known as NatWest Tri-Series.

Name:Anchal
Comment:hi!i am an avid cricket fan. but the performance of the indian team has been disappointing specially overseas.what has been the reason behind this?i fail to understand.

Name:B.K.Kurian
Comment:India will win.if they will play as a team not aimed to a man. I think only a batsman or a bowler. In my opinion the team need a wicketkepeer batsman like ajayratra . INDIA WINS.....

Name:R.V.Subramanian
Comment:India Will win.

Name:Rahul Khanna
Comment:indians r going to win becoz they r the best in match fixing.

Name:Veera.D
Comment:India is sure to win the series as the team is now filled with Wornderful ,Valuable and Superb youngesters whose hunger for Victory is clearly defined .

Name:Selvanathan
Comment:If u see as of today India is the strongest team among the three.Shewag and Ganguly open up the fire,Sachin, dravid, dinesh in the middle, yuvaraj and kaif to finish off the match.Absolutely there is no doubt abt indian batting strength.May be the bowling departmenet is little weak without srinath but not to the down.Yongsters along with anil will definitely going to deliver goods. With the trio yuvaraj, kaif and mongia in the team, the fielding is definitely is on the top. So who can stop India ti clinch the series??????????

Name:Sriram
Comment:India will win the natwest tri-series because India have a good batting line up and a good fielding side

Name:Surya
Comment:obviously with the likes of Sachin,Ganguly, sehwag,Dravid and yuvraj..India will win...no doubt.

Name:Baburao s Lavhate
Comment:India win this natweat tri-series

Name:Kranthi
Comment:I personnaly feel India will win the cup.But they shouldn't be complacent for the coming worlcup. They have to take srinath, nehra, and zaheer as the front line bowlers in the coming worldcup.

Name:Rahul
Comment:I think the Indians have an upper hand in the series because of there formidable batting order with yuvraj and kaif at 6 and 7 with top 4 guns blazing with all cylinders, i dont think India will have a problem

Name:Anand Tikmani
Comment:India u cant stop them now

Name:shoeb
Comment:India will win the series!

Name:Raj
Comment:India will win the NatWest Series.

Name:Bharath
Comment:By just looking at the NatWest Series, India will have a better hold when compared to England and Sri Lanka. The only decision India needs to take is replacing one specialist spinner with Ahsish Nehra will make the difference and by which India is bound to win this series

Name:Joseph Sudhakar
Comment:India will win the natwest trophy (2002), because India is re-building the team and there are more courageous and talented youngsters in the team. Their batting, bowling and fielding is improved adn this will raise the overall team effort. So, i am sure that the indian team will win the natwest trophy.

Name:Sudharsan
Comment:I think India wins thsi series..because in short version of games, more times its the batsman game..India has strong batting line up than others.. and all their batssman are in good form.. INDIA will win this series

Name:Deepesh Jain
Comment:It's seems that India should emerge as a winner of NatWest Tri-Series. India presently is going in a good run espesically in a batting department. Most of it's batsman are in a good nick these days. Tendulkar coming down the order has provided stability to Indian side. First match has clearly shown that India has learnt from her's past experience and it seems that she would not succumb under pressure easily. The absence of Key bowlers of England and Sri Lanka has also made a task of India easier. The major stumbling block of India should be it's bowling department as their fielding seems to be improved. Still it seems that it should not be a problem for India to get a place in final on 13th.

Name:Ramanan
Comment:In the context of competitiveness the Indian team will come up Trumps with mental strength as they did today against England.

Name:Gary
Comment:By thrashing England India have reasserted that they are true champions.

Name:Rajashekar
Comment:India will win the series!!!!!!!! Great Bat's men in India team!!!!!

Name:Satish
Comment:It is clear that the natwest tri-series trophy will goto the hands of either srilanka or the hosties.Though the indians played an outstandig first match against England, India will come out with their true color at the final matches, this will be the true final result.

Name:C.Vinoth Chandar
Comment:I think so England has more chances to with the NatWest Tri-Series.

There would have been a chance for the Sri Lanka .. but now i think so they have lost it because they are morally down by losing to a very ordinary England team and for the England team its the vice versa.Sri Lanka should have performed better in the test series.

INDIA .... hmmmm its tough to predict this side.. they win the impossible and lose the most possible. As an indian i would love to see India win , but their inconsistency in the past creates a doubt in my mind.I get this doubt everytime when India starts playing a series.

The main reason for India's downfall in crucial games is the lack of concentration and application by the players. The major reason is the "DOBBER MAN" TAIL.It never wags .. actually it cannot wag because it doesnt know to wag.

See .. we dont need just star players .. but we need consistent players.

The core reason for this is the useless indian selectors.Do they know what is CRICKET ? The fact is that people who are selecting the players for a national team doesnt know much about cricket.Nobody is young and active .. all are old sleepy faces.I would appreciate if Kapil,Gavaskar and others are in the selection comittee because atleast they know cricket and they can easily select the best 11 and also can help the team in a lot of aspects.

A very big example for this is the omission of "ROBIN SINGH". He performed in almost all the matches.. he is still the best fielder for India and the best batsment for the NO.7 spot where he can score consistent 30's and 40's and can chip in with a few wickets. What else do you need as an allrounder ?

I doubt even Sachin could have performed like him lower in that order. But the selectorS say that he is aged and India needs younger players. Now i say "INDIA FIRST NEEDS YOUNGER AND BRAINY SELECTORS WHO KNOW'S CRICKET".When you old grandfathers can select a young indian team .. why not robin play for another 2 yrs ?

i have a doubt on the indians winning the natwest series i give 50-50 for India , 70-30 for England.Even the lankans cant be written off .. they can bounce back roaring.

But anyways i think England will the NatWest Tri-Series (but ill pray got that England must loose).

Name:Jigar Patel
Comment:India Will Definately Win The Tri Series

Name:Sankarankutty E.
Comment:India will win the NatWest Tri-Series.

Name:Rajesh Potti
Comment:India should win this series. The batting is very strong, and there are 4-5 matchwinners. Bowling looks weak, but this is the best fielding side India ever had.

Name:Sharad Singh
Comment:In my view India has the best chance of winning the sereis. But as the question suggested , this sereis does not have much signifiacance compared to the world cup next year. This series should be used to come up with a good team and stratedgy. Remember SL started the first 15 over slog and playinhg batsmen till # 8 in Oct 95 (they almost chased 333 against windies and then could have taken Tri series in Aus if not for the bad umpiring). So try out the things keeping in mind the world cup. This series is inconsequential. Sharad

Name:Ganti
Comment:India will "WIN" the tournament. Virendra Shewag will be the man of the series. Ganti.

Name:Harsh
Comment:I think India will win, becasue Sachin Tendulkar has said sometime before, that he is going to do anything to win this worldcup. and i think he is going to start to boost up his teamates confidence by winning some series now. although, if he does'nt score any runs or take any wickets, he will contribute to the win in one way or another. thank you, and once again, INDIA WILL WIN.

Name:Krishna Reddy
Comment:indian should be win the match

Name:Pramod Ashanna
Comment:I have something to state about the One-day series Schedule. How come England doesn't have back-to-back matches on consecutive days, while India and Sri Lanka have to go through it ? I would hate to see England win the series.

Name:Chandan
Comment:No doubt India will win

Name:Tejas Vedi
Comment:My views on whom to win the natwest series is that India will win the series because many players injured in both srilankan and the english team.

Name:Jayakumar
Comment:India will win the series

Name:Satish Kudke
Comment:hi harsha , ravi and sunil how r u , satish from bombay here definately India wins these series, cause now the team is not underpressue or depend upon tendulkar or Ganguly, these the whole team spirit, that what India want from long time, but one thing i want to say that why the selector not selected ritendersing sodhi, he is the outstabding fielder, he can bat , ball as well as good fielder in fielding side, if the selector have choose him , then our team can be gratest team in the world, no need of taking two spinner in the team when the yuraj , mongia , shewag can ball, ritender sing sodi is the best option for the indin team, if he can selected, i assure u that no one can beat India in the world, with regards satish kudke

Name:Mahesh Kothare
Comment:India will win both this tri series and the word cup2003

Name:Shenbug
Comment:India will win the NatWest Tri-Series as well as the 2003 World Cup

Name:Kannan

Name:Asif
Comment:i say sirlanka it is the best team in these series ilike jayasuriya that is why i will say sirlanka will win the natwest triseries

Name:Nilesh
Comment:India definately has the chance with its young and eperienced players combining well over the past few months. Right from the time England came to India the one day team has been shaping up well and the youngsters are doing a good job. Speacially the three youngsters Shehwag, Yuvraj and Dinesh Mongia along with Mohammed Kaif are doiing a great job. Certainly they have added to the teams options by the innings they have played over the past few months. Their fielding is good and that is showing up in the recent perfoemances. With Tendulakar coming at 4 and stabilizing the inning and Dravid futher giving options to team selection by keeping the team looks a balanced one.

Name:Sriram Murthy
Comment:I have to be candid and admit that, prior to the beginning of the series, England were my favorites to win the Natwest Trophy. Now after the first few days, the equations had to be tweaked and the Maharaja's are now deemed to be the favorites, by virtue of their performance. Knowing how complacent the indians could get after a few electrifying performances, there is this thought back of my mind that indians might slip back. Batting being Indias strength, Rahul and Saurav with an unblemished record in England, I'd have to place my bets on India.

Name:Arun

Name:Pardhasaradhi
Comment:England. Reasons:Determined team & home advantage are the key factors that help England.

Name:Manish Jain
Comment:I think India should win this NatWest series as they are deserve for this after their approach in the first two ODI they are ready for winning this tournament give there morale high after the tour of West-Indies by winning the ODI series and they know that the other two teams in this series is also in their group in the coming world cup they have a last chance before the world cup to play with these team so they have to win and get their reward but one thing is sure that India has the ability to enter into the final as we have seen in the last nine one day finals but they have to do lot of hard work for winning in the finals.

Name:Kalyan
Comment:hi folks I put my money for India after seeing the weekend matches,The main part I liked in the wins is it is because of the lesser hyped players,Dravid's keeping is good which removes a lot of pressure from Indian think tank.Any way All the best guys we are with you,,good luck Dravid..

Name:Gopal.B.Iyer.
Comment:India will win the Natwest Tri-Series,since India has a tremondous batting line up ,and we have a wicket keeper batsmen (Dravid)and all the batsmen are in good form, and each of the player is proving there calibre to stick there place in the team.we have a young talented bowler in our team.

Name:Raveendra reddy
Comment:India will win the Tri-Series. The reason is the Indian team composed of Experince and Talent . Team have good batting and all-round depth.

Name:Ratnakarbhat
Comment:India will win the series and the indians deserves the cup here at England.

Name:Golu
Comment:After watching the the first two matches, I definitely feel that India has a great chance of winning the series.. With the middle order functioning at last, we can look forward to bigger run chases ...

Name:Akhilesh
Comment:As the recently concluded World Cup soccer once again proved: too much of grind can be debilitating to athletes and you reputation don't win you mathces. India, like Senegal and South Korea in the World Cup, are not the favorites for the NatWest. But when was the game won on the paper? India look well-rested after a long, and disappointing, Caribbean series. And espcially the inclusion of youngsters--Yubaraj Singh, V. Shewag, Mohammed Kaif, and Ajit Ararkar, all hungry for runs and wickets--has made all the difference. Much that they may try, Tendulkar and Ganguly alone can't win all matches for India. When was the last time Kumble, Srinath, or Harbhjan turned the game round for India? It's time for fresh ideas and fresh legs. Let's not let the players rest on their laurels please. Frankly,it's time even to ditch Kumble, except mayeb during home series.

Have your say...
