Selection committee meeting put off by a day

The cricket selection committee meeting, scheduled to be held on September 20 at Madras, to pick the Indian team for the International Cricket Council knock-out tournament at Nairobi from October 3-15, has been put off by a day.

The executive secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, Sharad Diwadkar, told PTI in Bombay Monday that the meeting would be held on September 21 at the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association office at 11 am.

However, he did not give any reason for the postponement.

India take on the hosts Kenya in the tournament opener on October 3.
