Restore lost glory, says Borde

Board of Control for Cricket in India selection committee chairman Chandu Borde says the match-fixing investigation should be expedited to restore the image of the game, which has suffered a severe beating in wake of the scandal.

"Cricket stands maligned after the match-fixing scandal and spectatators have become suspicious about the game," Borde said on Thursday.

He was speaking after inaugurating 'Mini Olympics-2000', organised by Ravalgaon group of industries, at Ravalgaon in Malegaon taluka of Nasik district.

"If cricket in the country has to restore its lost glory, match-fixing cases should be solved immediately," the former Test player said.
