Batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar has bagged the Ceat World Cup Cricketer 2003 award after his splendid performance in the premier event in South Africa.
Tendulkar, who was also adjudged the Player of the World Cup, which was won by Australia, scored a record 673 runs from 11 matches to top the Ceat ratings for the tournament with 27 points.
The Mumbai batsman will receive the award at the 8th Ceat International Cricket Ratings Awards ceremony, Ceat said in a statement in New Delhi on Tuesday.
Tendulkar is currently ranked sixth overall with 81 points.
