ED, Delhi police raid Chawla's house

Onkar Singh in New Delhi

Sleuths of the Enforcement Directorate and the Delhi police today jointly raided the house of absconding businessman Sanjeev Chawla at Jangpura in connection with the latest matchfixing scandal.

The raid, which began at 1700 IST, continued late into the night. But no details were forthcoming and the officers conducting the raid refused to divulge any information.

Meanwhile, actor Kishen Kumar was transferred from the intensive care unit to the general ward of the hospital in NOIDA where he had been admitted soon after the scandal broke.

He was examined by a panel of five doctors who pronounced him fit, but said he was not fit enough to be subjected to interrogation by the police.
