Curfew was clamped on Mysore after communal clashes broke out on Wednesday night.

The curfew will be till there April 4 after there was no sign of the violence coming down. The trouble began following a verbal duel between an STD booth owner and a customer at Ghousianagar.

The duel turned ugly and the customer along with his friends smashed the booth. The STD booth owner in turn set afire a few houses in retaliation.

Protests and clashes spread to various parts of the city as a result of which several vehicles were damaged and policemen injured.
