Apparently worried that Saturday's serial blasts in the metropolis may affect the prospects of the Congress in the coming assembly elections, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Thursday met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to express her concern over the security scenario in the city.
The chief minister, who is strongly advocating the need for a 'most stringent' legislation to deal with terror-related cases in contrast to her party's stand, also met Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil during the day in this regard.

Dikshit raised serious concerns about the security scenario prevailing in the capital during the meetings and both the Prime Minister and Home Minister responded positively to her concerns, sources said.
During the meetings, sources said, she also stressed for the need for strengthening the Delhi police.
Dikshit has been strongly in favour of a 'most stringent law to deal with terror crimes as it should act as a deterrent'.
Congress sings a different tune, seeks tougher anti-terror law
The chief minister, during a meeting with city traders earlier, had said that it was for the Parliament and the Centre to decide on the content of the legislation.
Dikshit had also raised similar views on Sunday, a day after five blasts ripped through the capital killing over 20 people.
The chief minister had then said even though she had no role in police or security management of the city, she would voice the concerns of people. Her comments came as the second Administrative Reforms Commission also felt that existing laws were not enough to deal with the menace and recommended a comprehensive anti-terror law.
The United Progressive Alliance government has been of the view that the existing laws were adequate to deal with terrorism and crimes having inter-state links.
