The stage is set for talks between Asif Ali Zardari and Pakistan Muslim League - N chief Nawaz Sharif on a draft parliamentary resolution for reinstating judges, sacked last year by Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf, with the arrival of the Pakistan People's Party co-chairman in London on Thursday.

Besides the question of judges' restoration, the two leaders will also review national and political developments.

A committee of legal experts, formed by the ruling PPP and its main ally PML-N, framed the draft resolution late on Wednesday night.

Law Minister Farooq Naek, the convener of the committee, said the panel had reached an agreement on the draft though it would be given final approval by top leaders of the coalition.

Naek, however, acknowledged there was discord within the committee on the modalities for restoring the deposed judges.

The top leaders of the coalition had earlier held inconclusive talks in Dubai last week to resolve the issue.

Top PML-N leaders Shahbaz Sharif and Khwaja Asif are already here to assist Sharif in the talks on the draft resolution. Sharif is in London with his wife Kulsoom Nawaz, who underwent a surgery.

During his stay in London, Zardari will also meet his son and PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He is also expected to enquire about the health of Sharif's wife.

Zardari will also meet Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Altaf Hussain and discuss matters related to the government formation in Sindh and unconditional support by MQM to the Pakistan government.
