Coalition partners of the NDA on Monday discussed "ways and means" to build pressure on the government for a speedy probe into the "cash-for-vote scandal" and reviewed the security situation in NDA-ruled states.
Advani, who is the BJP's prime ministerial candidate,chaired the meeting which discussed "ways and means" to build pressure on the government for a speedy inquiry into the "cash-for-vote scandal", sources said.
"The meeting discussed ways to expose the government and also reviewed the security scenario in the NDA-ruled states," an NDA member said after the meeting.
The meeting held at the official residence of senior BJP leader L K Advani was attended by floor leaders of the NDA constituents. They also delved into the current political and internal security scenario of the country, sources said.
Today's meeting, convened amid media reports of the government planning to postpone the monsoon session of Parliament, was attended by BJP chief Rajnath Singh and other
senior leaders like Sushma Swaraj, Sharad Yadav, Prabhunath Singh(JDU), Ajay Panda (BJD) and Manohar Joshi (Shiv Sena) among others.
