Alleging that Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party government has failed on all fronts, the Congress on Wednesday said the party will win with clear majority in the upcoming assembly elections in the state.
"Progress achieved by Gujarat was possible only due to the assistance of the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance government," Minister of State for Home Shripraksah Jaiswal told reporters in Rajkot.
"Gujarat could have progressed at a better rate had the state government used the Centre's financial aid properly," Jaiswal said adding, the Congress will fight the December polls on failure of Modi government.
Highlighting the dismal performance of the state government, he said that it has failed to provide 24 hours electricity for farming.
Besides, health services have become costly and crime rate in the state has also shot up, Jaiswal said.
Criticising Gujarat government's decision of privatisation in health sector, the Union minister said Modi has debilitated the facilities available to the poor and needy.
