A student of the Aligarh Muslim University, who was wanted in connection with the recent incidents of violence in the campus, was arrested from his hometown Khalilabad in Uttar Pradesh on Monday, said the police.
Mohamad Ali - son of Mohamad Taufik Khan, former block pramukh of Khalilabad and a local Congress leader was wanted in connection with arson, rioting and clashes that took place in the AMU campus in September.
The campus was closed sine die after the violent clashes
