Even as the Janata Dal-Secular has made it clear it is not too keen on transferring power in Karnataka to the Bharatiya Janata Party according to a pact, BJP leader and Deputy Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa said he was confident that power will be transferred as promised.

Yediyurappa said he has full faith in god who he said will help them sail through the crisis. He however maintained that everything was in god's hand now.

Yediyurappa also said he had full faith that Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy would keep his promise. When asked whether Deve Gowda would agree to transfer power, Yediyurappa said that as a national leader he would not go back on his word. He said he had full confidence in Gowda too.

Yediyurappa, however, added that nothing can really be made clear now and added that for the final outcome one had to wait till October 3.

Meanwhile, all eyes are focused on the JD-S legislature party meeting scheduled to be held later today in which the party is expected to pass a resolution to continue with Kumaraswamy as the chief minister. Kumaraswamy, however, says he will convince his MLAs to accept his resignation.
