After launching masks of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, the high-tech media cell of the Bharatiya Janata Party is all set to release a three-dimensional animated caricature of him as part of the party's campaign for next month's polls.

"The bright coloured caricature of Narendra Modi will feature in small animated movies of 10-15 second duration, which will have punchlines," said Shashiranjan Yadav, convener of the state BJP's IT cell, which conceived and prepared the caricature.

"It has been crafted by a like-minded fine art professional," he said, adding that the animated character will be released shortly by state in-charge Arun Jaitley.

The clip can be downloaded to mobile phones. The BJP also wants all 72,000 active members of the party to have it in their mobile phones, Yadav said.

The short video clip on Modi will feature poll slogans like: "Chose between Jyotirgram (provision of power in villages) or Nandigram" and "I don't eat nor would allow anyone to eat (reference to corruption)".

Modi's caricature was approved by Jaitley and the concept also has the nod of the tech-savvy Chief Minister who found it to be a good idea, Yadav said.

Meanwhile, the BJP's media cell plans to send personalised video e-mails to people, apart from continuing with its earlier poll antics on social networking sites.
