Gujarat encounter: 6 cops produced in court

Six policemen, including three Indian Police Service officials, arrested in connection with the killing of Sohrabuddin Sheikh in a fake encounter and the murder of his wife Kausar Bi, were produced in court on Tuesday.

The three IPS officials were brought to the court as their police remand ended on Tuesday while the other three policemen, arrested on Monday, were produced for the CID to seek their remand.

The CID, in the last court hearing, had sought permission to conduct narco-analysis tests on the three IPS officials arrested on April 24 and moved an application in this regard. This application will be heard on Tuesday.
