The Election Commission on Sunday ordered re-polling in 45 polling stations of Kaimganj Assembly constituency in Farrukabad district in Uttar Pradesh on account of certain irregularities.
The re-polling in these polling stations was necessitated as the returning officer had failed to follow the instructions of the commission, sources said.
The commission has also ordered shifting of the returning officer, they said adding, the re-polling in these polling stations will be held on May 10.
