So, why are the Muslim youth backing Rahul Gandhi, and place him higher than Priyanka, while most other sections have been cold to Rahul and taken to Priyanka?
45-year-old Mughir Khan might have some answers. "These people run after any new person who comes here. Do you think these people would vote for a Congress candidate because they like Rahul Gandhi? They won't. They'll speak to you about how great Rahul Gandhi is and go vote for the Samajwadi Party," Khan says.
He feels Rahul's charm will fade soon and the people will understand that he is just one more from the dynasty and will do nothing to change things. "And by the way, tell me, is the Congress a private limited company? Can't they find a leader from outside the party?" he asks.
Khan sums up: "See, other parties bring in people like Jaya Pradha and Celina Jaitley. The Congress has brought in Rahul. It is just the glamour and sheen. It won't translate into anything substantial."
