Stepping up his attack on the Gandhi family, suspended Congress leader K Natwar Singh said Rahul Gandhi's roadshow in western Uttar Pradesh would not cut any ice among the people of the poll-bound state.

Natwar Singh, who is cosying up to the Samajwadi Party after his suspension from Congress following the Volcker Committee report on UN's oil-for-food programme, also said the disproportionate assets case was a conspiracy to discredit UP Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav and tarnish his image.

Rahul's roadshow was a "miserable flop show of the Congress and it would not cut any ice among the people," Natwar Singh told PTI.

Natwar Singh said he will campaign for the party from March 27 and will seek support of the minority community exposing the Congress' policy towards them.

On his suspension from Congress, Natwar Singh alleged that there was a deep rooted consipiracy hatched against him to implicate him and his son in the oil-for-food scam by some vested interest in Congress to tarnish his image.

He also dared the party leaders to expell him.
