The Uttar Pradesh government has submitted a report on the Nithari serial killings to the National Human Rights Commission.
"The commission has received a report from the state government. We shall see the report and take appropriate action," NHRC Chairman V Shivraj Patil told reporters in Lucknow on Saturday.
He said the commission had taken suo motu cognisance of the incident and issued notices to the state chief secretary and director-general of police over alleged sexual abuse and murder of children in Nithari village in Noida.
The full commission is in Lucknow at present to hear cases of human rights violations in the state.
Meanwhile, the five doctors of the Noida Civil Hospital who carried out post-mortems of the skeletons found behind accused Mohinder Singh Pandher's house in Nithari were questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation on Saturday.
The doctors were questioned about the breakage of seals on the packet handed over to CBI by the local medical team in Nithari, sources said.
The doctors were also asked about their opinion on the possibility of a racket in organ trade in the serial killings of children.
Some police officers earlier involved with the investigation were also questioned by the CBI.
The five doctors, Subhash Gupta, Madanlal, D M Saxena, Rakesh Kumar and Lokesh were asked to appear at the CBI headquarters in Delhi in a letter sent to them on Friday.
