Indian Space Research Organisation has chalked out a major plan to launch more satellites into the orbit during 2007.

Official sources told UNI in Sriharikota on Wednesday that ISRO would embark on the 11th flight of the PSLV-C8 in its next mission, likely to be launched in March-April. The mission will carry a 300 kg Italian satellite Agile (remote sensing satellite) and ISRO's own advanced Avionic Mission Module.

After PLSV-C8, PLSV-C10 carrying Polaris satellite would also be launched either in June or July, officials added.

Both the PSLV-C8 and PSLV-C10 would have only core vehicles and there will be no six strap-on motor as the weight of the satellite isn't high and the thrust provided by the core vehicle would be enough to place the satellite in orbit.

The officials further said ISRO is likely to launch PSLV-C9 after these two missions and it is likely to carry Cartostat-2A. The date will be decided later.
