Pappu Lal, father of eight-year-old Rachna who was missing since April 2006, said his family was satisfied with the government's decision to hand over the probe to CBI as they feel that it is a competent agency to deal with such cases.
"I think a big racket with links to foreign lands is involved in this and it is not Moninder Singh Pandher or Surendra alone is involved. Only CBI can unearth the truth," Lal said.
Expressing hope that the CBI probe would bring out organ trade angle, Lal said, "Skeletons of the children were found but torsos were missing. This raises several questions in our mind."
Father of 10-year-old Pushpa who was missing since April 2004, Sunil Biswas alleged that some big shots were involved in the killings.
"Truth should come out at any cost and we will be able to heave a sigh of relief when CBI digs out the whole truth. We hope justice will be done," Biswas said.
Asking the government to provide jobs and land, they said they had sold everything in search of their children. "We went to several places as far as Rajasthan and Bihar in search of them. We need a job to sustain ourselves," Lal and Biswas said.
Local legislator Nawab Singh Nagar also welcomed government's decision saying only a CBI probe could bring out the whole truth in which accused have high political connections.
