The Supreme Court on Wednesday declined to entertain a plea seeking a Central Bureau of Investigation inquiry into the serial killings at Nithari village in Noida saying the matter is already being looked into by various agencies including the Uttar Pradesh police.
A bench headed by Chief Justice Y K Sabharwal said this was not a matter to be mentioned before it since the National Human Rights Commission and the National Commission for Women were looking into it.
It also mentioned that the state police were also investigating the incident.
Advocate Raviprakash Gupta had made an oral mention before the Bench for treating newspaper reports on the issue as a petition.
