Bodies of six Pakistani nationals, who were among the 68 killed following bomb blasts on the Samjhauta Express near Panipat on Sunday, will be sent across the border via land route from Wagah, a top Haryana government official said.

"We have despatched six bodies which were identified. The relatives of the six had come to Panipat today. The government is making all arrangements to ensure their transportation up till the border," Principal Secretary (Home), Haryana government, Kartar Singh Bhoria told PTI.

He said six more bodies of Pakistani nationals had been identified, but despatch was pending as their relatives want the Indian government to make arrangements for that.

"Today, the deputy commissioner of Panipat spoke to Pakistan High Commission officials in Delhi and apprised them about the situation and urged them to make arrangements for transportation of bodies from the border," he said.

Bhoria also informed that from now on, additional security would be put on duty at Pipli, near Kurukshetra, where the Delhi-Lahore bus has a stop.

"The bus stops at Pipli for about half an hour and people get down for refreshments. By having extra forces, we want to ensure that no unauthorised person ever tries to get near the bus and strict vigil is maintained on the movement of the travelling passengers as well," he said.
