Yadav's statement came in the wake of senior Congress leaders discussing in Delhi tonight with the CPI(M) leadership the developments in UP following the Supreme Court's order disqualifying 13 BSP MLAs who had supported the Samajwadi Party-led government.
The Chief Minister had on Thursday submitted the resignation of six disqualified MLAs, who were enjoying the status of ministers, to Governor T.V. Rajeswar for acceptance.
All opposition parties -- BJP, Congress and RLD -- had met the governor after the Supreme Court verdict and demanded dismissal of the Yadav government.
The BSP had on Thursday submitted a memorandum to the governor claiming all the 37 breakaway BSP MLAs stood disqualified following the apex court order and questioned the legality of the Yadav government.
